ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re hiring an experienced Telehandler Operator who’s also happy to pitch in with labouring duties as needed. You’ll be working on a secure Defence site in Townsville, supporting critical infrastructure and rehabilitation works in a safety-first environment.
KEY DETAILS:
- Employer: OSOS Alliance – Specialists in civil and Defence recruitment
- Location: Defence site, Townsville QLD
- Roster: Monday to Friday, approx. 7am–5pm
- Pay Rate: $45/hr + penalties (based on experience)
- Eligibility: Australian Citizenship required due to Defence clearance requirements
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Operate telehandlers to move materials and equipment safely
- Support trades and construction crews with labouring tasks
- Follow strict site safety protocols and chain of command
- Assist with lifts, site clean-up, and general duties as needed
- Work closely with supervisors to maintain productivity and safety standards
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
- Proof of Australian Citizenship
- Current Telehandler ticket + verified competency
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Experience on construction or civil sites
- Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and stay productive
HIGHLY REGARDED:
- C9 Crane Ticket
- Previous Defence or secure site experience
- Additional plant tickets or HR Truck Licence
- Comfortable working in remote or regional locations
