Role Overview
The Heavy Duty Fitter is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant and equipment to support safe and efficient mining operations. This role involves both preventative maintenance and breakdown work on large mining fleets.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic faults on heavy mobile equipment.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform breakdown maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Work both independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Accurately complete maintenance reports and job documentation.
• Adhere to all workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills & Requirements

• Australian recognised Heavy Duty Fitter trade qualification.
• Experience with surface mining equipment fleets (Komatsu, CAT, Epiroc etc.)
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced mining environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• FIFO experience preferred.
