Role Overview
The Drill Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of surface drill rigs and associated equipment on site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring drill availability, reliability, and safety within mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain surface drill rigs and ancillary equipment such as Sandvik, CAT & other major fleets.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs in accordance with site standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and identify root causes.
• Perform inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively within the maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete required documentation.
• Comply with all safety, health, and environmental procedures.

Skills & Requirements

• Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience working on surface drill rigs in a mining environment.
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• High level of safety awareness and commitment to site procedures.
• HR driver’s licence preferred.
• FIFO mining experience highly regarded.
