Roofing Manager – Commercial Construction

We’re partnering with a well-established commercial construction business delivering high-quality projects across Western Australia. As part of a strategic growth phase, they’re seeking an experienced Roofing Manager to establish, lead and scale a dedicated roofing division as a core business unit.
This is a senior leadership appointment, offering full accountability across safety, delivery, commercial performance and profitability.
The Role Reporting to the General Manager / Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for building a sustainable, high-performing roofing function that complements the broader construction offering. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational and commercial oversight, and will suit someone who enjoys building capability, teams and long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and grow the Roofing Division in line with business strategy
- Drive new work opportunities through industry relationships and tender input
- Build and maintain strong subcontractor and supply chain partnerships
- Lead, develop and retain a high-performing, safety-led workforce
- Own end-to-end project delivery outcomes across safety, quality and programme
- Implement roofing-specific safety systems and embed a strong safety culture
- Oversee procurement, budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- Manage key client relationships and act as a senior representative of the business
- Collaborate closely with People & Culture, Project Support and Commercial teams
About You
You’re a commercially minded construction leader with strong roofing or trade-based experience and a proven track record of building teams, systems and profitable operations.
Your Background
- Trade or tertiary qualification in construction or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial construction or project management
- Demonstrated leadership of direct and subcontract labour
- Strong technical knowledge of roofing systems, materials and methodologies
- Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management capability
- Solid understanding of contracts, variations, claims and commercial risk
