Electricians – Solar & Battery Installation (BHP Jimblebar)

Roster: 12/9 

Hours: 12 hours paid (maximum 12 hours per day)

Travel / Mobilisation:

  • Travel time paid
  • 12 hours paid for fly out PM

Scope of Works
Working alongside a team of electricians familiar with the project, successful candidates will be required to complete the following:

  • Build and install solar arrays including cabling and terminations (MC4 connectors and marshalling terminal boxes)
  • Installation and termination of surge protection devices and associated enclosures
  • Install cables between shelters via cable ladder and underground conduits
  • Installation of batteries into associated racks
  • Testing and commissioning to BHP standards
  • Completing ITRs as required using CCMS

Tickets / Licences Required

  • Full WA Electrical Licence
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
  • BHP inducted 

Desired Experience

  • Solar, battery and DC electrical systems (including testing)
  • Electrical construction experience on mine sites
  • Cable installation in conduits and cable ladder
  • Earthing and earthing terminations
  • Panel terminations
  • Labelling using electrical drawings
  • Completing ITRs
