Construction Superintendent – Construction & Commissioning | Kwinana WA
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Construction & Commissioning Superintendent to support multiple critical projects within a major mineral processing operation based in Kwinana, WA.
This is a high-impact, site-based role overseeing both construction and commissioning activities across several concurrent projects, including work executed during a major site shutdown.

The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing construction activities across multiple projects, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery through to readiness for start-up (RFSU).
This role requires strong leadership on-site, managing both contractor execution and internal teams, while coordinating closely with operations during shutdown and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee construction activities across multiple projects
- Supervise contractor performance, ensuring compliance with design, specifications, and quality standards
- Coordinate SIMOPS and manage interfaces between construction and operations teams
- Plan and execute construction works including scheduling, resourcing, and materials
- Oversee mechanical and E&I execution teams
- Manage plant isolation/de-isolation in line with permit-to-work systems
- Support and lead commissioning activities (Stage 2 & 3) through to start-up
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE requirements
- Maintain accurate reporting (weekly/daily during shutdown)
- Engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the business
About You
- Trade-qualified with 8+ years’ construction supervisory experience in mining or processing environments
- Strong understanding of shutdown execution and operational plant environments
- Proven ability to manage contractors and multi-disciplinary teams
- Solid knowledge of HSE regulations and safe work practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced project environments
Project Details
- Location: Kwinana, WA
- Contract Duration: Late March – Late May (shutdown period included + potential extension)
- Site-based role with full access to office facilities and equipment
