Role Overview
The Auto Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems on heavy mobile plant and equipment used in mining operations. This role ensures equipment reliability and compliance with safety and manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mining equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring, sensors, control systems, and electronic components.
• Perform inspections and testing to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of work completed and faults identified.
• Work closely with mechanical trades and site teams to support operations.
• Comply with all safety, environmental, and site requirements.

Skills & Requirements

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent).
• Automotive Air Conditioning licence.
• Experience working on heavy mining equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Epiroc etc
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• FIFO mining experience preferred.
