Location: Fitzroy Street, Carrington NSW 2294
Contract: 9 June 2025 – 19 December 2025
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm (Onsite)
Hourly Rate: Up to $36/hour
Parking: Free onsite parking
 
Please note: This is an onsite role based in Newcastle. Candidates commuting from Sydney will not be suitable.
 
About the Role

We’re hiring a Rostering Administrator to join our clients busy team supporting the NSW Schools Cleaning Contract, covering over 1,900 employees. This role plays a key part in ensuring rosters, timesheets, and schedules are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.
You’ll work closely with Finance, HR, Supervisors, and Payroll to resolve pay queries, assist with scheduling, and ensure the business complies with awards and legal requirements. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, are highly organised, and can stay calm under pressure – this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify timesheets for compliance with awards and regulations
  • Assist with fortnightly pay runs and respond to pay queries
  • Support Supervisors with rostering and scheduling, providing training when needed
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with HR and Payroll teams
  • Suggest improvements to processes and help address recurring issues

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong Excel skills and experience in fast-paced, high-volume admin environments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills – able to assist others and ask for help when needed
  • Resilient and adaptable – capable of handling pressure and shifting priorities
  • Able to start early (7am) on payday weeks, with flexibility during busy periods

Required Skills & Experience 

Mandatory:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • High-level customer service experience
  • Ability to pass a Police Check

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience using SAP, Deputy, or other rostering/payroll systems
  • Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong problem-solving skills
