Our clients are dedicated to building and maintaining a safe and efficient transport network that serves our community. With a focus on excellence and safety, they specialize in the long-term operation, maintenance and management of critical public and private infrastructure.
 
Due to their continued growth, PRM Group are assisting them in securing a motivated and experienced Safety Advisor to join the team.
 
As a Safety Advisor you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce and the public. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures across our transport and roads projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety management systems and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and support to project managers and teams on safety-related matters.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Deliver safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a positive safety culture and promote continuous improvement in safety practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Safety Advisor, preferably in the transport and roads sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in incident investigation and risk assessment (desirable).
